Taylor's Butterfly

For this assignment we had to create a butterfly and a flower, How I created my flower was I started off my creating a star and making it a light pink color. I then made another star and made it smaller than the first and made the color a darker pink,I repeated this two more times.For the center of the flower I made a circle and put a sandpaper texture on the shape and made it a yellow color.I used the line tool to make the stem and then moved the points to make it bent.For my butterfly I started off with an oval and moved the points to create my desired shape of the wing.I then pressed the Alt  key and copied my image,Next I went to the modify tab, then down to transform and then flip horizontally so I have a mirror image,I then made a narrow oval for the center of my butterfly. For the objects on my butterfly I used the doughnut tool to make four pink circles on my butterfly, then I used the square tool and moved the points to create my other object and placed a vein texture .For the antenna I used the spiral tool, I then applied a drop shadow to my butterfly. For the background I used the square tool and made three squares each smaller than each other and then used the text tool to type my name.

Taylor's Spot Color

For this assignment we had to spot color three images.This assignment is the same as the rain tree. I started off by using the lasso tool to trace around my image.Next I pressed Ctrl+Shift+I, I then went to the Commands tab, selected Creative and finally convert to sepia tones.This makes the background sepia tones and your object the original color.Next I selected  the magic wand tool and adjusted my tolerance,then I selected the colors I wanted to change to sepia tones.

Taylor's Rain Tree Spot Color

For this assignment we had to keep the original colors of the tree while making the background sepia tones.I started out my taking the lasso tool and out lined the tree,then I hit Ctrl-Shift-I then I went to the commands tab,selected Creative then clicked on Convert to Sepia Tones.This left the tree the original color,next i selected the magic wand tool and i changed my tolerance level to 20. This way I can select the exact colors I want. I used the wand to select all of the blue that was in the tree I hit the Shift key so I can select more than one area. After the areas I want are selected, I went back to the commands tab,selected Creative then clicked on Convert to Sepia Tones. this made the blue turn to the sepia color and the leaves on the trees stand out.

Taylor's Alphabet (font name-Finger Painting)

For this assignment we had to create our own font,first we had to choose a font that would be our base so I chose "AR CARTER". Next I typed the alphabet lower and uppercase letters A-Z, then I un-grouped them and made them each a separate layer. I then chose the white arrow so I can move the points to create my own letter shape,I then choose the scale tool to make the letters bigger.

Taylor Meserve-Color Emotions

For this assignment we had to create 5 emotions using only colors.The emotion i chose was rage which is the color red, I also used black as well.First I started off by making my canvas 400x300, then I made the canvas color a dark red color. Next I applied a gradient affect which was folds, then I made the second color a brick red. After I took the pencil vector tool and used a light red and scribbled on the canvas.I then choose the cut out tool and made a rectangle so the center was my original color. I then repeated the process using black insted of  the light red. I then chose the line vector tool and used the stroke texture, and extenuated the gradient lines.

The next emotion I chose was Grief which is the color blue,so I started out my making my canvas 400x300 and changing the color to a dark blue.Next I chose the line vector and choose the stroke Viscous Alien Paint and made the color a dark purple blue. I then made the dots go around the out side of the canvas as seen above. I then changes the stroke to basic and made the color a light blue and made lined coming up fro the corner of my canvas then I repeated that using a grey blue color.
The next emotion was Giddy which is the color green, I started out making my canvas 400x300 and changing the canvas color to a lime green.I then put a gradient affect on it and I chose starburst,I then added a darker and lighter green to the patten. I then choose the stroke dots, in a lime green and made them come from the top of the canvas down,I then repeated with a different color which was a dark green.
The next emotion was Anxious which was the color orange, I started out my making my canvas 400x300 then make the canvas an orange color. I picked the line tool and chose the stoke Viscous Alien Paint then made the color a light orange and the size 44 and made dots half way up the canvas.Then I made the color a darker orange and put dots on the bottom half of the canvas. I then selected the pencil tool and made zig zags on my canvas with light and dark orange color, I then made swirls on the canvas with the dame colors.
The last emotion I chose was Joy which is the color yellow, I made the canvas size 400x300 and for  the background I choose the liner gradient affect with the colors yellow,orange,and light red.I then made the edge feather so it will fade,and the texture is swish. I then chose the Viscous Alien paint stroke then made the color yellow  and made lined coming from the corner of the canvas. I then changed the stroke to dots and made the color a burnt orange and made lines coming form the bottom corner of the canvas,I then repeted that with a light yellow/green color.

Taylor's Professional Nameplate

For this assignment we had to create a professional nameplate, I stared off by making my canvas size 300x200 then I made my canvas color white. After I selected that shape vector tool and choose the rounded rectangle. I made my rectangle purple and grey and choose the liner gradient effect. I added the texture sand. Next I chose the text vector and made a text box on my shape and then typed my name. The font I used was blackadded ITC and choose a dark purple color  for the font color.





Taylor's Semi-Professional Nameplate

For this assignment we had to create a semi-professional name plate.I started out with at 300x200 canvas,I then took the shape vector tool and choose the rectangle. I made my canvas color purple and then added a waves gradient effect, then I choose yellow and purple for the colors.Next I choose a line texture then choose feather for the edge so it will fade and not look like it has a hard edge.After i choose the text vector and made a text box and typed my name. The font i choose was ar berkley, and the font color is black i also added a drop shadow filter.

Taylor's Basic Nameplate

For this assignment we had to make a nameplate that was at a basic level. I created this name plate by making my canvas 300x200 and the resolution is 200. I stared my making canvas color a dark lime green, then I choose the vector tool and made a rounded rectangle, I took the yellow colored circles that are around the shape when it is clicked on and pulled them in to create the shape.For the background color of my shape I choose a turquoise color then added a gradient affect which was folds, the colors I also added were a burnt orange and dark lime green. Then texture that I applied was oil-slick to the background, next I used the text box from the vector tools to make a box to type m name. The font of my name is Bookman Old Style, the font size is 42 and the color is a dark lime green.The affects that I added was a drop shadow which was the color black.

Taylor Meserve-Texture

For this assignment we had to create an image that shows texture.I started off with a 500x300 canvas,that had a white background.Next I choose the vector tools and selected the Viscous Alien Paint and made strokes on my page using different colors.I also had to optimize my image, i made a copy of my image a GIF,JPEG,and TIFF. I made one of my images loose a lot of quality and that was my TIFF file,my GIF was the one that was the next that had the least quality. I made the image by gusting the amount of colors that are in the image, which caused it to loose a lot of quality.

Taylor Meserve-Name Plate 2

 


 For my second name plate my canvas size was 500x300 pixels and my background was transparent.you will choose this when you create a new document.To create the shape for the name plate I choose the circle vector to create an oval shape. Next i trimmed my canvas to fit the shape,how you trim your canvas is my going to the modify tab,then scrolling over canvas, the select trim canvas.I choose my gradient effect next the one I choose was linear affect.After you choose your affect pick the colors you want in it,for the edge i picked the feather affect so it would fade .After i picked the text box from the vector and created a square to type my name in.Once my name was typed in I choose my effects,in the properties bar.I places a glow on my name as well as a drop shadow.

In this project how I created the image was I set my canvas size to 300x200, I selected the rounded rectangle vector and drew that shape on my canvas.Next i trimmed the canvas to fit my shape which left part of my canvas to fill my the color of my choice.To trim the edges you go to the modify tab, then select canvas,then trim canvas.For my background i used a gradient affect and the one i chose was called folds.I selected my colors as you can see above, to create the background.After I chose the text box from the vectors I made a square on the page, so I could type my name in. Once my name was typed,I choose my font from one of many fonts the are provided.The font i picked was called ar hermann, I selected my size which was 70 and you have to make sure you have a margin of at least finger width.Now the fun begins of choosing what effects you like I choose to put a glow on my name,which you can find in the properties at the bottom of your screen.
